Veteran insurance HR leader joins to lead people strategy as mea scales.

Bermuda, 22 July 2026 — mea Platform, the insurance-native agentic AI company, has appointed Robin Tolla as Chief Human Resources Officer. Robin joins as mea continues to grow its global team.

Tolla brings more than 30 years of experience across a range of HR leadership roles, spanning Fortune 100 companies alongside start-ups and high-growth businesses, with over 15 years in the insurance and technology industries. Her expertise covers people strategy, organizational design, and merger and acquisition integration.

Robin’s appointment caps a period of rapid team growth for mea. In recent weeks, the company has grown its team with roles across engineering, product, client delivery, and client solutions. This growth spans Europe, Asia, and the Americas, continuing mea’s focus on product development and the insurance-specific intelligence at the core of mea Operations. Tolla joins to further the people strategy that supports that momentum.

“Throughout her career in the insurance and technology industries, Robin has designed operating models and led M&A integrations inside the exact environments we now serve,” commented Martin Henley, CEO of mea. “Time and time again, she has showcased her ability to build organizations that absorb fast growth and turn it into business performance. That insurance pedigree, combined with her operational discipline, is precisely what mea needs at this stage.”

In 2013, Robin joined XL Group, the property and casualty (re)insurer, where she spent seven years in senior HR leadership. She was instrumental in two major acquisitions, partnering with the CIO on one to reach a $100 million synergy savings target. In 2017, she was promoted to VP of HR, supporting the Chief Operating Officer of the newly combined XL Catlin. In that role, she led a global HR team of 20+ and two shared service centers in India and Poland, spanning more than 2,000 employees. Through the AXA XL integration, she designed the operating model and built out the new operations and technology organization, again delivering significant synergy savings.

Most recently, Tolla served as Co-Chief People Officer at Real Chemistry, a private-equity backed global healthcare communications and technology company of 2,300 employees. After joining in 2021, she was quickly promoted to co-lead the HR function, where she built the people strategy that supported the company’s substantial revenue growth before her departure in April 2026.

“The best insurance operators have always known that people are what make the difference, and that has not changed with AI; it has only raised the stakes,” said Tolla. “mea has built technology that owns the repeatable work and elevates talented people to the decisions that matter. Shaping the culture and organization behind the company reimagining insurance operations is something I am honored to be a part of.”

Tolla joins mea amidst a cycle of industry recognition, client growth, and team expansion. As mea scales, Robin’s expertise in organizational design and integration will help build the company with the same discipline that has carried its product into production worldwide.
