Bermuda — 15 April 2026 — mea Platform (“mea”), the AI-native insurance technology company, has announced the appointment of Mina Sahib as Vice President for the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. Sahib will lead mea’s MENA expansion, working with (re)insurers, carriers, brokers, MGAs, and other partners to bring agentic AI solutions to operations across a market investing heavily in AI and digital transformation.

Sahib brings nearly two decades of experience across the global insurance industry, starting in 2008 in P&C claims with State Farm Insurance in Toronto, Canada. After moving to the Middle East in 2013, she held leadership roles in operations, digital transformation, and customer experience.

“Mina has spent much of her career helping insurers navigate digital transformation across the Middle East,” said Max Richter, EMEA CEO of mea Platform. “As the industry moves from AI experimentation toward operational deployment, her regional expertise and industry relationships will be central to expanding mea Operations across the market.”

She is the founder of Women’s Insurance Network – MENA (W.I.N. MENA), a community launched in 2020 to provide networking and mentoring support for female insurance professionals in the region. She most recently founded The Code Consultancy, advising and supporting regional insurers and insurtechs on transformation, implementation, and strategy. Sahib also served as an Associate Analyst at Celent where she supported the global insurance practice in the Middle East.

“Insurance markets across the Middle East are investing heavily in AI as they look to build and expand on their digital strategy,” said Sahib. “mea’s solutions include targeting a major pain point for our industry, and our insurance-tailored AI platform provides insurers with a range of modular solutions that can impact operational efficiencies and contribute towards their overall data strategy. I’m looking forward to support in introducing these capabilities to the insurance sector across the region.”

Sahib holds a B.A. in Political Science from York University in Toronto and a Mini-MBA in Digital Insurance from the TDI Academy. She also holds an Award in General Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute and is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified through the Project Management Institute.
